Dresden, Sächsische Landesbibliothek, MS Glashütte 5. 2 surviving partbooks: D, A. Poor condition and partly illegible.
Provenance: Section with the Isaac pieces copied 1583-84, probably in Saxony.
Published catalogue: Wolfram Steude. Die Musiksammeihandschriften des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts in der Sächsischen Landesbibliothek zu Dresden. Quellenkataloge zur Musikgeschichte. Wilhelmshaven, 1974. Pages 53-61. DIAMM entry
Source of pieces in Choralis Constantinus II: Both pieces probably copied from RISM 15455 or a copy of it. They form part of an Isaac group in which a Kyrie and Gloria separate the introit and alleluia. See also D-D MS MUS I/E/24.
Choralis Constantinus II contents:
- Mass 1
- Introit-Puer natus (no. 23)
- Alleluia-Dies sanctificatus (no. 25)
Character of variants in Choralis Constantinus II repertoire: The introit combines the antiphon section from Choralis Constantinus II with the verse from another setting of the same introit by Isaac in RISM 15455 (D-p. LVII; A-p. LXVIII; T-p. LXV; B-p. LIX). The antiphon shares a distinctive pitch variant with the version in RISM 15455.
