Erlangen, Universitätsbibliothek, 473/3. Volume VII of a set of four (originally seven) choirbooks of liturgical music. This volume contains music for Pentecost and Trinity.
Provenance: Copied by Johannes Härtung at the Cistercian monastery in Heilsbronn. Dated 1545.

Source of pieces in Choralis Constantinus II: The Erlangen sources, D-ERu 473/1, D-ERu 473/3, and D-ERu 473/4, have a number of correct readings where all sources deriving from Ott's print exemplar share common errors. These manuscripts must therefore have been based on Ott's original source, most likely Isaac's autograph. The proximity of Heilsbronn to Nuremberg may explain the early access of the monastery to a source in Nuremberg.
